Steenbeck.ai is an AI video editor you drive by editing words. Upload a clip and the AI transcribes it, then automatically finds every silence and filler word — the "um"s, "uh"s and dead air — so you can apply all the edits in a single click. The AI stitches the final video for you: no timeline, no scrubbing. It's named after the Steenbeck, the flatbed editing table that let editors glide back and forth through film by hand to find the perfect cut — I wanted that same hunt-for-the-cut feeling, minus the reels and the table.

I built it to solve my own problem. I make maths and computing videos on YouTube to help my tutoring students through their exams, and a one-hour recording takes me roughly six hours to edit by hand (yeah - I am not a pro editor or have access to the expensive professional editing software). I ran one of those same videos through Steenbeck and it was edited in under three minutes.

That's the whole point: let the AI take editing from an evening's work down to a few minutes, automatically, for less than the cost of a coffee a week. It's for small creators, solo founders and anyone doing it all themselves who'd rather spend their time making things than cutting out "um"s.
